Episode 069: How To Learn What You Don’t Know

So many people want to build something or start something new. This thing that they want to do is intended to better their life, and develop it in a way where they are better off than they currently are. The fact that this thought crosses peoples’ minds is a beautiful thing; however, there’s a major problem that happens when people start thinking this way – they get paralyzed by the fact that they don’t know how to move forward.

.

Why do people get paralyzed by fear? It’s the realm of the unknown. The unknown is scary, it’s intimidating, and it’s so mysterious that it seems like a place where you don’t want to go. The reality is, that’s exactly where people want to go, they just don’t know it.

.

What’s more, is that people already know how to step into the unknown, but they DON’T realize that they already know how to do this. They think things like:

.

“I want to build a business but I don’t know how to do business taxes…”

“I want to write a fantasy novel but I don’t know how to get it published…”

“I want to create a cooking youtube channel but I don’t know how to record a video…”

.

These are all things that can be fixed with some research. In this episode, I spell out exactly how to begin doing this research, but I’ll give it to you here as well:

.

Google.

.

We all know the Google machine. What happens when you type a question into Google? You get a return in the form of: blogs, youtube videos, forums, reddit threads, dedicated niche websites, and the list goes ON and ON. You start clicking these, digesting the information, and then going to the next one. Guess what happens? You learn. You learn the things TO do, and the things NOT to do. This is how you figure out and learn the stuff you don’t know that you need to know to move forward.

.

Put away the excuses, and go figure out how to move forward.
